The beach is quietest between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. At that time, you'll have the turquoise water almost to yourself. Lifeguards start working at 10:00 AM, but the crowds don't arrive until noon.

Can Picafort Beach

A 1-mile-long sandy beach with turquoise waters, showers, lounge chairs, and lifeguards: the heart of the town.

Can Picafort Beach is the center of town. The water sparkles in shades of turquoise and the sand is soft and clean. The beach slopes gently into the sea, so even small children can splash safely. For adults, there are good swimming conditions further out. Showers are installed along the entire stretch, and you can rent lounge chairs and umbrellas. Lifeguards monitor the area. If you want to take a long walk, you just have to continue to the neighboring Muro Beach. The promenade stretches for over half a mile from the port to the northwest end. Here you can sit at the beach bars with a drink and let your gaze drift across the bay.

In high season, the beach is quite crowded between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Come early or late and you'll have more space.

The beach is located directly in the town. From the center, you can reach it in a five-minute walk. A bike path runs parallel to the promenade.

S'Albufera Natural Park

S'Albufera Natural Park is situated between Alcúdia and Can Picafort. You can reach it by bike or bus in less than twenty minutes. The area is an important resting place for migratory birds. Inside the park, there are designated bike paths and bird watching blinds. With a little luck, you'll see herons, moorhens, and even black vultures. Admission is free. At the entrance, you'll receive a map with all the routes. The park is suitable for both hikers and cyclists. The landscape is flat and the paths are well-maintained. A visit can easily be combined with a bike excursion from Can Picafort.

The marina offers boat rentals, a sailing school, and water sports: the starting point for excursions to the northeast coast and Formentor.

The Can Picafort Nautical Club is the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to see the sea from a different perspective. Here you can rent sailboats, fishing boats, motor yachts, or even canoes. If you don't have a license, you'll also find smaller boats for a day trip. Excursions to Pollensa Bay and the impressive cliffs of Formentor are especially popular. Along the way, there are spectacular cliffs, hidden caves, and crystal-clear waters. The club also offers a sailing school. Water sports equipment, such as paddleboards and snorkeling gear, can be rented directly at the port. If you prefer to participate in a guided excursion, book a boat tour from Can Picafort; for example, to the Llevant nature reserve or Formentor Beach.

Bodega Butxet is somewhat hidden in the hills between Muro and Can Picafort. The area isn't really known for viticulture, which is exactly what makes the visit so charming. The family manages the winery with a lot of passion. Upon request, you can arrange a wine tasting and take a look at the cellar. The Cabernet Sauvignon has won several awards and has an elegant note rarely found in Mallorca. Since the winery is small, you should inquire ahead of time. The wine tasting is usually accompanied by a short tour of the vineyards. Combine the visit with a drive to nearby Muro or let the afternoon wind down on the terrace.
